casein paint lid portraits

I have been experimenting with casein lately. Some of these characters are made up, some are inspired by mugshots found on the world wide web.

Well intentioned people are always giving me old house paint thinking I can use it in my classroom. They are mostly wrong. If it's not white or something close to white that I can use for primer, it is pretty much useless. I can use the lids though. I'm not sure why I started painting on these but I like them.
